The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of parishioners will be held on Sunday 20th September following morning worship. Any items of general business or apologies to be given to Irene please.

Whareora’s September 16th bus trip will travel to the Tai Tapu area. We will visit St Paul’s Church, Lincoln University, Springston, Southbridge, Burnham and Rolleston. We will stop for lunch along the way.  Reid Tours will be providing the transport and interesting commentary.

Church Cleaning:  Session has appointed a new cleaner, Aaron Richardson from Azzman’s Cleaning. He will clean the facilities on alternate weeks. We still need your help  – thank you to those who have already volunteered. See the orange notice in the foyer!

Focus on Tanzania NEXT Sunday 30th August 10am: Rob & Barb Meier will update us on Your Sisters Orphanage. This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of our connection with the orphanage. Donations will be received during the service.

Fireside is a group of women of the congregation that meets monthly.

Christchurch South Rotary have chicken manure available on Saturday 29th August from 9am at the Cashmere Club. $5 a bag.

Please Note: The new stackable chairs are not to be stacked one on top of another as the framing under the seat makes an indentation into the fabric of the chair below. The chairs are to be stacked onto the stacker frame with the back of the chair against the labelled end.

Garage Sale & Garden Tour: St. Andrew’s Church, Blenheim has a Garage Sale on Saturday 12th September and a Garden Tour on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October. If you feel like a break away, it’s not too far to come to sunny Marlborough and you might like to time your trip to fit in with one of these activities. Our Garden Tour is famous for spectacular gardens, wonderful stalls and refreshments when you need them and it only costs $20 pp.

Men’s Group: The night that men’s group meet is now the first Monday of the month. The next meeting will be on Monday the 7th September.
