Fireside, our St Martins women’s group, is planning our final meeting this year to be an informal Christmassy get-together on Wednesday 25th November from 1.30pm.  Ours is a fairly informal group of women from our congregation and their friends and we welcome other women to join us for any of our meetings.  If you would like to, bring Christmas gifts for adults at Waltham Cottage and/or a small plate for our own afternoon tea.

Quilt Show South Library until 30th November 2020:

Featuring a selection of quilts made by new New Zealanders who

attend the Migrant Quilt Group. For some of the ladies it has been the first time they have ever touched a sewing machine.

This year because we could not meet for several months we don’t have the usual number of quilts so the tutors have added one each to the exhibition.

Fireside, our St Martins women’s group, has invited Anna Button to speak to us about the work of Hagar this Wednesday 28th October from 1.30pm.  Ours is a fairly informal group of women from our congregation and their friends and we welcome other women to join us for any of our meetings. If you would like some early information there is a website: hagar.org.nz.  When this was arranged early in the year we decided to give donations to Hagar of a gold coin [or more!] and contributions are welcome.
