From PARISH COUNCIL meeting June 2026:
- Pastoral and spiritual development – a discussion was held to identify a suitable programme to offer here at St Martins.
- The Alpine Presbytery Cultural & Strategic Framework published last year was circulated – further work will be done with this material.
- Different ways of offering pastoral support to the congregation were discussed.
- Nardia is joining other local ministers for a regular ecumenical prayer meeting.
- Need to establish succession planning – an extra Parish Council meeting will be held in July to explore this more fully.
- Various maintenance jobs have been attended to at the Manse.
- We are investigating switching power companies to obtain a better price.
- The Presbytery Moderator, Aunty Lyn, is coming to St Martins on 5 July.
- Our 98th birthday will be celebrated on 12 July, with planning underway soon for our centenary in 2028.
An Invitation from Fireside to the congregation and friends to hear, see, and try out ways that Aspire Canterbury can help us.
Monday 22nd June in the church lounge with notices/devotions at 2pm and the presentation beginning at 2.30pm. Afternoon tea will follow. All are welcome.
