This is a combined fundraiser with St Mark’s Opawa.

We require books, CDs, DVDs, records, toys, good quality used clothing and general household items, china, glassware etc… There will be a cake stall, sausage sizzle and waffles, along with Sue’s preserves, jams etc and the MenzShed will be having a tool sale.

A great opportunity to clean out your cupboards.

The Parish Council met on Thursday 18 March.

There was a very full agenda and amongst other things Council dealt with the following issues:

  1. Council is seeking someone with Powerpoint preparation skills to help Sonya prepare the Sunday slide show from time to time.
  2. The Council supported the Tech team in its project to develop Zoom technology so we can welcome to worship any parishioners who cannot be in church in person.
  3. The Council appointed Elizabeth Hawker as ‘manager’ of the book stall in the foyer. We’ll have more information about the book stall very soon.
  4. Received greetings from Rob and Margaret Mclean. Rob will be 100 years of age on Monday 05 April.

Fireside, our St Martins women’s group, is a fairly informal group of women from our congregation and their friends, and we welcome other women to join us for any of our meetings. We are meeting on Wednesday 31st March from 1.30pm in the Lounge.   This month we plan to shell donated walnuts to use for church funds.  Please come whether your hands are able to do this or not.
